When Art Is Uplifting

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.

You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.

People are going back and forth across the door-sill
where the two worlds touch.

The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.

-Rumi

FIRST!

bitcoHere’s the problems with crypto. Those who would use or benefit most don’t have any money to buy or invest in the currency.

Many of these folks see crypto as just more of the same – speculating towards the same old wealth and eventually in the same old hands; mostly white.

Those who invest now – those who can afford to – for them it’s been like winning the lottery, while nothing fundamentally has or will change for the better in regards to the financial system, especially when it concerns the working masses.

What the people want is justice, monetary regulation and taxation on massive profits – rather than SHARE the wealth perhaps, it should be called, SPREAD the Wealth.

These people/protesters don’t want charity – – to paraphrase Henry Ford, ‘charity is a cure for poverty as capital punishment is to a cure for crime.’

People are quickly giving up on Capitalism and “Free Markets,” they don’t trust the system and the Bankers, Wall Street Investors and The Government have given them good cause not to.

What is emerging are the demands for fundamental human rights – people are beginning to push for FDR’s Second Bill of Rights.
right

So there is a new split or rather, the split is becoming noticeable between those who want a truly “Free Market Economy” and those who want the right to live safe without financial fears and woes especially, when it comes to “Basic Human Needs.” They want to be free of the usury-revolving-door crooks.

And to those who say money is what drives people to success and innovation I say, Balderdash!

Get a load of the giant egos all over YouTube and the net, along with the endless addiction to selfies. What really drives people today is recognition and fame – basic psychology, “look at me!” – The new success and innovation in this emerging economy is the ability to say FIRST! In the future, money will become a mere blanket to coddle, a thumb only to suck on the way down.

First is a state of mind, a philosophy, it requires time and dedication, first is an art form…

First gained it’s foothold in the modern era first, with The Bomb, followed by the First Man on the Moon, then in 2007 the idea of first was clearly established on the Net.

you may laugh, but it’s true.

Banksy – The Advertisers

banksy

[text]
‘People are taking the piss out of you everyday. They butt into your life, take a cheap shot at you and then disappear. They leer at you from tall buildings and make you feel small. They make flippant comments from buses that imply you’re not sexy enough and that all the fun is happening somewhere else. They are on TV making your girlfriend feel inadequate. They have access to the most sophisticated technology the world has ever seen and they bully you with it. They are ‘The Advertisers’ and they are laughing at you.

You, however, are forbidden to touch them. Trademarks, intellectual property rights and copyright law mean advertisers can say what they like wherever they like with total impunity.

Fuck that. Any advert in a public space that gives you no choice whether you see it or not is yours. It’s yours to take, re-arrange and re-use. You can do whatever you like with it. Asking for permission is like asking to keep a rock someone just threw at your head.

You owe the companies nothing. Less than nothing, you especially don’t owe them any courtesy. They owe you. They have re-arranged the world to put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission, don’t even start asking for theirs’. ~Banksy
