Universal Basic Income

The Cost Of Living

To be alive.

Recently, I did some research into historic product costs and while doing so came across some pretty sad and desperate thoughts by people suffering under our current financial and social system. Here’s a few things I found.

Between 1974 and 1977 minimum wage was roughly $2.50 per hour. Back then a loaf of bread cost 0.29, green pepper 0.08, onion 0.03, chicken 0.29lb, bulb garlic 0.10, milk 0.99 gal, ice cream 1/2 gal 0.79.

Today those very same items would cost roughly $20.00.

In 1974 rent for a 2bd flat, heat included, was $125.00 a month, today that same flat rents for $1350.00 plus heat.

In 1974 30% of your income went towards shelter. Today it is at least 45%.

That 15% difference should be savings.

Anyone making $20 per hour today is actually making less than minimum wage in 1977. Minimum wage, based on the price of inflation – THINGS WE NEED TO LIVE – should be roughly $23.00 per hour just to break even.

If you are making $7.50 or even $10.00 per hour you are living in perpetual debt and financially a sub-standard lifestyle.

The Sad Reality

Dungeons and dragons.

Currently, most working people are living on what I call The New Reservation: After the US Army rounded up the Native Peoples, put them on what became known as The Reservation. Those who were “lucky” enough to work off The Reservation received a substandard wage for their labor. The only place to purchase any goods or foods in those areas was a place called The General Store (this model was also used in smaller towns known as The Company Store). Prices at these stores were so inflated the people living there were forced to run up credit in order to survive leaving them forever in debt and stuck on The Reservation.

The majority of us are all living on The New Reservation now, and many are also stuck on The New Plantation.

The New Plantation is the prison system, most of the people in prison are in for non-violent offenses, but rather than have them make fair restitution, apologize, perhaps even seek the help or skills they need to live they are put into the private prison system where it just so happens that their warm-behind-bars-bodies pays well on floor of the stock market – between $25K to $60K a year, actual human upkeep on that scale, $10k. Further, regardless of the offence be assured these people serve every single day of their sentence, there is little to no room for good behavior. Those in prison who work; assembling furniture or sitting in a call center earn 0.79 an hour for their labor.  Again, this segment of society is faced with inflated prices for the purchase of the simple things within the prison system they need or want such as, a call home, a pack of cigarettes or a candy bar.

Out here in the real world chances are you have no medical insurance. Even under ObamaRomneyCare, face it, with a $6k deductible, you have no health care. If you are low income you are paying $200 a month for nothing. Let’s follow that (((money))) and see where it goes Connecticut.

However, if you are low income and can swallow your pride, you might qualify for Food Stamps, or in the new Orwellian-Speak Food Share. Still, you are eating highly processed packaged food because you either lack the education on how to eat right or too depressed to even care.

You also have no savings, maxed out any credit card you had at some outrageously high interest rate, perhaps you are even in student loan debt or stuck in some payday loan scam.

You are most likely living in low income housing or rent a run down apartment in an unsafe area wondering how much worse it can possibly get.

Chances are your job, if you have one, is unfulfilling, has no benefits, pension or real future.

You wonder how you even get up in the morning.

Your only source of entertainment and diversion is the internet, if you are savvy enough to operate and own a computer or you’re bombarded by endless commercials on TV telling you all the things you need that you can’t afford and are subjugated to watching the lifestyles of people you’ll never know or be like.

Your life expectancy in the US has now dropped by 10 to 15 years.

You’re might also be too proud to make any new friends because you’re always broke, down and out. You’re too embarrassed to talk to or bother your family, who is also struggling with finances and waking up in the morning to their unfulfilling dead end jobs. In your eyes the word failure is written and everyone can see it, so you keep your head down, get through the day and escape home hoping you don’t get mugged or sick.

Your mind wanders more often to the topic of a quick and painless end, because none of this really matters, and that mindset is reinforced daily by businesses and colleagues who remind you that you’re easily replaced and no one needs your business. This is what’s call the free market, modern capitalism now. Darwin in action.

You’re living a few steps and a paycheck away from homelessness.

By this time many fall into drugs and too often people feel that coming back from an overdose is worse than dying.

THIS is NOT Western Civilization, this is borderline Communism, Corporatism,  Plutocracy, Slavery call it what you will, but it not the struggle for better or balanced.

America Is Spiraling

Prison is the New Plantation, Debt is the New Reservation, War is a Culture of Death.

Basic Income changes all that.

All of it!

Basic Income is really just compensation for the last 45 years of deflated wages and massive unfair debt and yes usury.

If you are counting on your good graces, charming disposition, laurels or luck to get you through life, think again. Those who have lost those 10 to 15 years of life expectancy are dying in massive debt, on average $63k worth of debt on their death bed and that debt is left to you, your children, your grandchildren and their grandchildren. Complete economic and education control in the hands of the few.

The black hole of debt is growing and the bigger it gets the faster is sucks in everything in its path, it is making its way up the income ladder. You are on that list.

If we don’t start lifting people up their sorrow and misery will collapse the whole damn thing and much sooner than you think. What we have now will be utterly wiped out, and your quality of life will be armed with a 24/7 watch.

That said, I have a few words for those who say and feel that basic income is a hand-out for lazy people who just don’t want to work, you are wrong, dead wrong, ask a retired veteran, many who volunteer their time in schools, helping the sick, elderly, their brothers in need and for all who were lucky, had the strength to stick it through now live, through our good graces, on a basic income military pension.

If you lean to the higher moral ground of ‘an honest dollar for an honest day’s work’ those old days you long for do not exists. Let me fill you in on your massive and miserable failure when is came to locking up the crooked bankers, the ending of corporate subsidies, all that massive crazy foreign aid, unaccountable military debt for endless wars that have absolutely nothing to do with these here United States.

How do you justify all that larceny and theft over an American Citizens basic survival?

There are market solutions beside a basic income: shore-up the 1974 income gap inflation as demonstrated above, cut profits and CEO salaries to level those earnings off and out, but also forbid the creation of robots, because now they are cheaper to run than you.

Further, our politicians, corporate CEOs and you who keep looking the other way still longing to hold out for that REAL Capitalism and that REAL Free Market which will fix everything, all that has proven to the rest of us is you are no longer trustworthy, and without trust you got zot!

Trust Is Everything

Everything.

Concerning James O’Keefe and US Foreign Policy

In response to Constitutional Lawyer Jonathan Turley‘s resent blog post:

okeefeConservative Filmmaker James O’Keefe Suspended By Twitter.

“… Twitter has become a lightening rod for the free speech community — repeatedly accused of content-based censorship and a liberal bias. Twitter was recently accused of a departure from the policy of unfettered free speech in the filtering of negative comments against President Barack Obama. Then Twitter banned Milo Yiannopoulos in a very disturbing move against a conservative speaker. Now, Twitter is back in the news targeting another conservative. After releasing two viral videos, Project Veritas Founder and President James O’Keefe was barred from access to his Twitter account for 12 hours (with review for a permanent ban). Twitter again appears to have little explanation for suspending another conservative other than the content of his speech.”

Perhaps we don’t have to go much further than the following:

prince-alwaleed-bin-talal-bin-abdulaziz-alsaud

Saudi Prince owns more of Twitter than Twitter’s CEO

Saudis bankroll 20% of Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaign – expects pay to play

Saudi Prince Bankrolls al qaeda

Pro Saudi Women’s Group Suspended On Twitter

Twitter Fight: Trump vs Saudi Prince

trumpvsprince

.
.

Then there is the Saudi and US heartless and devastating bombing of Yemen; armed by the US and Israel. The funding of the rebels in Syria; armed by US and Israeli. The funding of al qaeda in Libya; armed by the US and Israel. The funding of Mossad/ISIS, and the funding/arming of Israeli and Saudi aggression against the Palestinians.

Bush43 should have been arrested for a lot of things, from illegal wars to war crimes, however, this has to be one of the most egregious

Further, the Saudi influence over Obama via his veto of the 911 bill that would have allowed the families of 911 to sue the Saudis  — (Congress Override), and finally, the $38 Billion to Israel, guaranteeing 10 more years of war for Americans.

If only a number of these topics were questions in the presidential campaign and debate.

The US needs to pull out of the Middle East and leave the bulk of that hot mess to China, EU and Russia. Americans need to stop being the world’s police for debt, and start minding its own business.

The only thing the Saudis have is oil and fiat, both which the US can find elsewhere, and both, through technology, the US can do without their supply. Lastly, the US needs to divorce being the sole patron of Israel. US engagement in the Middle East has bought the American People nothing, but heartache, slavery and death.

If Hillary is elected; by hook or by crook, the only way out of the Saudi’s and the Israeli’s aggressive influences will be secession. If Trump is elected the Union will more or less remain, however, we will see a different president elected every 4 years for decades to come.

Who is the hell is Lawrence Lessig?

You’re about to find out.lvws

First, go here

Impressed?

Mr. Lessig is actually more than qualified to run for what we are still calling high office here in the good ol’ US of A, but his real goal is not all the accolades and power that come with the job.

This Is His Goal:
“We Need to Fix Our Democracy: Lawrence Lessig Weighs Presidential Run to Rid Money from Politics”

Are you even more impressed now?

With all of the excitement in the current presidential derby I was caught up in the whole Donald Trump escapade. I wasn’t going to bother voting until Trump stepped in when I thought, “What fun!”

Now, some might take that particular attitude as the words of an irresponsible, flippant, nay nihilistic 2nd class citizen, but with a dimes worth of difference between the two parties, the banks and corporations holding all the cards and money, we’re not living in a free society, a democracy or even a republic anymore, Trump at least shook things up. C’mon, he admitted paying politicians to do his will, the media should have been all over that statement like white on rice, but the media is owned by guys just like Trump; worse even, who buy and sell politicians for lunch. They aren’t going to talk about the puppet-masters on the corporate owned MSM news channels! Dictatorships never do. Thing is, we know what Trump said about buying politicians is true, we’ve known for a long time it’s all true, yet when one of their own says it out loud we can actually taste it, we can experience the truth behind his words physically, like a punch in the face.

So Freedom: what exactly is that? Here’s someone who can soundly explain the idea of what robust citizenry is supposed to look like.

Oh, and don’t get me started on the Diebold Machines.
Yes, that HBO Documentary is dated, but it has only gotten worse and computers easier to hack by nefarious underlings, and Congress has done absolutely nothing to fix this.

Voting machines are rigging elections
Voting machines switching votes
Programmer testifies voting machines are rigging elections

So here’s my big question for Prof. Lessig, what do you fix first, money in politics or the voting machines?

Most of you already figured this out, but just to be clear… to get the money out all you got to do is win, but in order to win people have to vote for you and how are you ever going to win if the voting machines are rigged?

Anyway…  along comes Lawrence; I think some call him Larry; been following and watching this guy for over a decade now, anyway he comes up with this idea of how to take our government back.

Now I had already resigned myself in great part to secession. I figured after the next election the banks will own everything including us, it’s the next step in this taking-forever-unfolding-economic-collapse, but I rolled Lessig’s idea around in my nut and I thought, ‘Here is a secret magic door that could actually be a game changer!’ cause let’s face it, eventually we will have to come to our senses and do the right thing, right?

The Bottom Line: Give it a go, you got nothing to lose, seriously, unless you’re the 1% you have absolutely nothing left to lose and absolutely everything to gain. We have to get the money out of politics, you can’t change one thing until this happens first.

You’re in a boat in the middle of a lake, the boat is filling with water and a bucket won’t do, you got to fix the holes. As long as the money keeps pouring into our political system we’re going to sink and the hole is getting bigger and bigger with every election. There are too many people without a life jacket for the current system to continue.

Lessig is going to blow your mind, his campaign requires you to think differently about political campaigns. This is definitely not what you’re used to, but you have to be if you want to fix the boat and enjoy the lake.

Remember: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Lessigs approach will put an end to the insanity. The only question you have to ask is, are you tired of being insane?

Here are some more in-depth links I offer up for your exploration, do the research! I’ll add more as time goes on.

Check back for updates.

FIRST!

bitcoHere’s the problems with crypto. Those who would use or benefit most don’t have any money to buy or invest in the currency.

Many of these folks see crypto as just more of the same – speculating towards the same old wealth and eventually in the same old hands; mostly white.

Those who invest now – those who can afford to – for them it’s been like winning the lottery, while nothing fundamentally has or will change for the better in regards to the financial system, especially when it concerns the working masses.

What the people want is justice, monetary regulation and taxation on massive profits – rather than SHARE the wealth perhaps, it should be called, SPREAD the Wealth.

These people/protesters don’t want charity – – to paraphrase Henry Ford, ‘charity is a cure for poverty as capital punishment is to a cure for crime.’

People are quickly giving up on Capitalism and “Free Markets,” they don’t trust the system and the Bankers, Wall Street Investors and The Government have given them good cause not to.

What is emerging are the demands for fundamental human rights – people are beginning to push for FDR’s Second Bill of Rights.
right

So there is a new split or rather, the split is becoming noticeable between those who want a truly “Free Market Economy” and those who want the right to live safe without financial fears and woes especially, when it comes to “Basic Human Needs.” They want to be free of the usury-revolving-door crooks.

And to those who say money is what drives people to success and innovation I say, Balderdash!

Get a load of the giant egos all over YouTube and the net, along with the endless addiction to selfies. What really drives people today is recognition and fame – basic psychology, “look at me!” – The new success and innovation in this emerging economy is the ability to say FIRST! In the future, money will become a mere blanket to coddle, a thumb only to suck on the way down.
.
First is a state of mind, a philosophy, it requires time and dedication, first is an art form…

First gained it’s foothold in the modern era first, with The Bomb, followed by the First Man on the Moon, then in 2007 the idea of first was clearly established on the Net.

you may laugh, but it’s true.

npr and tal have a way of white washing a number of the details,
you know it’s more than what they are telling,
mostly due to both being so much a part of the system.

they are in fact funded by the banking institutions,
keep that in mind.

but do you know what the real sadness of all this is?
absolutely nothing will change,
nothing will happen to any of the players,
the wrong doers.

this folks,
is as good as it’s ever going to get,
we’re stuck.

however,
if by chance you find a way to free yourself,
please,
drop me a note,
let me know how you did it.

the banks own us

bankI plane to write about this extensively over the next few weeks, and of course it’s all very simple and something we all know, deeply suspect or feel in our bones, but we keep trying to fight it in the same old fashion way.

In short, and in the fewest words possible, the banks own us.

Sure there are some who can skate for a while on top, but in the end they will find a way to crush even the skeeters.

I submit that there is enough historical evidence and documents to come to this conclusion. However, facing this grim truth is a whole other can of worms.

There are three immediate solutions:
1. Buy your freedom for as long as it lasts.
2. Form an autonomous community of trusted and like mine, become self-sustaining.
3. Revolution.

Regardless, no matter which way you go the banks will always get their cut on the front, the middle or the back end of things.

And though it may seem like many are waking up, don’t be fooled. Complaining is not action, and be assured the indoctrination runs deep.

What I hope to do over the next few weeks is post links to solidify my conclusion for public consumption.

If you are aware of what I am  working towards and wish to share your findings through links or documents that BRIEFLY explain this observation and  conclusion please feel free to post them in the reply.

I’m not looking for conspiracy theories; the Jesuits or Illuminati, I’m looking for documented  direct observations over the past two centuries from people who have experienced this same revelation. have written about this  and the solutions they drew upon.
