In regards to the content creator and their adoring public.

The old saying goes: Advice, wise men don’t need it and fools don’t heed it.

There are many rules and techniques when it comes to creating content. Some you learn through mistakes, others can be read in manuals or books by and about former celebrities, artists and creators, but there’s one area of creating content that is indispensable to the creator, their audience.

So what can be said of a creator’s audience?

This really depends on the creator and the content they create; their perceived persona.

For example, if you do weird stuff, you’re going to receive weird reactions.

If you decide to make a video that says, “You Suck!” expect to receives the response, “You Suck!” in return.

If your content says, “I Love Kittens and So Do You!” expect a majority of the comments you receive to be, “I Do Love Kittens Too!”

If you are a matter-of-fact-spilling-it-all-on-the-table kind of creator being so bold to tell your audience just what you think and exactly how you feel, expect your audience to respond with exactly what they think and how they feel about you.

If by some stroke of luck you attain a modicum of popularity and you find yourself baffled by these events or stunned by the responses you’ve received, never, ever insult your adoring public when talking about them to the press.

Remember grandma was right, always be gracious, courteous and if you can’t say anything nice about your public don’t say it at all. It only makes you look like an arrogant prick people will soon regret to have supported and known.
