A Need To See Film
A very thoughtful and provocative investigation into the the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This film gets to the bottom of what really caused those devastating floods?
Not only are there pressing technical questions left for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to answer, but most importantly we must confront the social and moral lessons that seem to have been long forgotten.
Harry has taken his notoriety and did something good for his community. He steps up to the plate then graciously steps aside allowing the experts, whistle-blowers and people active in the community their chance to speak. He gives voice to those who have been summarily silenced and ignored.
He sifts through endless pages of documents revealing shocking revelations buried within, piecing together what would take the average citizen months to subsume. He educates, informs, inspires and as always entertains.
Towards the end of the film you are confronted with one very vital question, could what took place on August 29, 2005 in New Orleans happen in my home town?
