Pigs At The Trough

Watching Arianna Huffington
everyone there was so calm and polite, sippings and ponderings the pigs at the trough
.

It’s wonderful that Arianna Huffington get’s it, one of the few in the media who does. Why Congress doesn’t get it demonstrates that the system has completely failed. The only way to stop the glutton of greed is to stop filling the pig’s trough and the only solution is by cutting off the tax payer’s money and pushing the Justice Department to investigate these wealthy corporations.

We lost a golden opportunity when the 110th Congress rather than support workers, didn’t  allow these Mega Corps and Banks fall to their knees in the free market, it’s more than regrettable now.

How terribly frustrating it is to all civic minded people when calling and writing Congress finding  that our words fall only on deaf ears. It’s impossible for any individual to compete with the large sums of corporate influence and money.

It’s clear few politicians are statesmen and clearer still that taking the oath of office translates only to another step in their career. What they don’t realize, or more to the point, don’t care about is the health and well being of this nation. As long as the money fills their pockets or power paves the road to future riches damn the rest of us.

There is little citizens can do unless they ban together and organize.

The Internet has gives us so many possibilities, but it hasn’t translated into producing real results, not in the streets or in better reactions and behavior by Congress. It is still business as usual, in fact it’s better than business as usual which has created even more inequities.

I’m very disappointed in President Obama, playing PR pub-politics with the media and maintaining a calm demeanor in a crisis is not what we need in our president. The results have been good only for the pigs at the trough of big business, as usual.

One last thing…

birthers, banks, beer and broke

What people don’t seem to realize is that the US is in the midst of having nervous break down.
