MSNBC has just moved closer to a more journalistic center this weekend when Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann were kicked off anchoring Election Night programming because of comments and on-air feuding between the anchors.
Matthews and Olbermann will still be analysts on MSNBC, but the duty of election night programming will go to David Gregory. David Gregory will anchor the four presidential debates and Election Night coming up in months ahead.
MSNBC was not happy with Matthews and Olbermann when they were mixing news with opinion when covering the Republican National Convention. President Phil Griffin decided that it was too restraining for the anchors and they would be better off not on the news cast.
