The first thing I saw on these was an account of a $2,000 clean-up bill for mercury contamination for a broken one. Since then I’ve heard of reduced mercury content. Accounts now are that problems of power plant emissions outweigh theirs.

thanks! CFLs need greater attention these things are very dangerous and few people really understand just how dangerous they are.
