Here’s a Novel Idea: This guy will pay the viewer instead of the creators to watch videos. Could this work? A little competition for you tube? or is it a scam?
I found next to nothing on how this works for the viewer, you have to sign up to get any info, which makes me think it’s a scam. They are also streaming You Tube videos.
Here’s what they are promoting.
The basic idea of PromoteVideo.com is the creation of an alternative social network where people and companies can promote their videos and advertise their projects and services by way of direct payments to viewers for watching. To show the video, advertisers have to purchase credits which will be paid to the viewers for watching. The network appears as a third-party between broadcaster and viewer and charges fees for providing services.
This concept will motivate viewers to watch advertisers’ videos. That’s the principal difference between PromoteVideo.com and all other video networks: here all broadcasters can get guaranteed viewings from a targeted group of viewers.

Hello, my name is Sergey Baklykov and I’m a founder of PromoteVideo.com, I always watching what internet writes about this project and found this article now.
So let me explain. First off, it’s not a scam at all.
Many people want to promote their videos on YouTube but in YouTube’s Top 100 not enough place for all of them. So you want to promote your video. At PromoteVideo.com you can put money (credits) into your video and these credits (money) will automatically paid to the viewers for watching. It works very simple for the viewers – just watch promoted videos and get paid.
We streaming YouTube videos because it’s one of the features to make our system more effective. When you embed your video to PromoteVideo.com and people watching it the video getting views not only at PromoteVideo.com but on YouTube as well. So it helps to increase views stats on YouTube too and possibly to get in YouTube TOP. This stats you can see in “Statistics&Data” on YouTube video page in “Sites linking to this video” section.

Also you wrote: “This guy will pay the viewer instead of the creators to watch videos. Could this work?”
Here I have to say that I’m not going to pay viewers. People who want to promote their videos will.

So as you can see we only providing the service – the platform where video owners can show their videos to the viewers.
